Abbreviations
Ectopic - pregnancy that occurs outside of the womb (uterus). It is life threatening to the mother.
hCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - hormone produced when pregnant
HSG - hystero Salpingo Gram - an x-ray of the uterus and fallopian tubes used to determine if fluid can move freely through the tubes, and to visualize the interior of the uterus to check for abnormal structure/growths
IVF - in vitro fertilization
M/C - miscarriage
U/S - ultrasound
